At The Hills, we believe that Jesus is the hope of the world both for individuals and for the community. He's called us to join him in bringing human flourishing wherever we can. Check out these upcoming opportunities to serve our neighborhood. Let us know if you can join us!
*Neighborhood Trunk or Treat: We need 2 or 3 people to come and decorate your trunk for trick or treating. The church will provide the candy. We also need help making and distributing popcorn and running our bounce house. This is a combined event on The Holly with the Boys and Girls Club, Pauline Robinson Library, and Hiawatha Davis Rec Center. They are expecting over 300 families. Friday, October 4, 4:30-7:15PM. Shifts from 4:30 to 6:00 and 6:00 to 7:15pm.
*Stedman Elementary Fall Festival: We will make and distribute popcorn, run our bounce house, and help with carnival games. Friday, October 18, 3:45-6:00PM.
*Family Photos: Volunteers help with registration, greeting/welcoming, and assisting photographers. We’ll be at Martin Luther King Jr. Park offering pictures for families. Saturday, November 2, 11:30 to 2:30PM. Shifts from 11:30 to 1:00 and 1:00 to 2:30pm.
*Dinner @ Jesus on Colfax: Jesus on Colfax serves vulnerable "friends" facing homelessness and hunger. We provide dinner and hangout and get to know people and their stories. Thursday, December 19, 5:30-8:00pm. Sign up to bring food or serve (or to bring food AND serve) here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C054FAAAC2DA4FA7-53373276-jesus#/.
We'll provide additional details to volunteers as we get closer to the event.
