What is summer without a Day at the Lake?!
Join us at Dillon Reservoir for a fun-filled day at the lake. Bring your own watercraft, food, lake toys, etc. We'll hang out, share watercraft among the group, and picnic together.
Helpful information:
The water in Dillon Reservoir is cold (~50° F) so be sure to wear a life jacket when on the water.
Swimming isn't allowed in the reservoir.
There are vault toilets, but no potable water is available at the Day Use area.
If you forget anything, there is a Walmart and a Safeway 1 mile down the road.
Be sure to bring sunscreen, water, snacks, sunglasses, hat, camp chairs/beach blanket, etc.
Location: (exact location might change but we’ll email everyone who RSVP’d if they do!) Meet at the Giberson Bay Forest Service day use area (Google Maps). Parking is $8 within the area, but there may be free parking nearby along the street if you want to move your car after dropping off your gear/watercraft. If you bring a boat that needs a boat ramp, you can launch at the nearby Frisco Bay Marina or Dillon Marina.
Directions: From I-70 take Exit 203, Frisco/Breckenridge. At the first stoplight turn left onto Dillon Dam Rd. The day use area will be on your right.
Time: All day! But most folks will be there from about 10am-3pm.
Day-of Contact: If you have trouble finding our group, text or call Dallas at 775-220-8480.
