What is summer without a Day at the Lake?!

Join us at Dillon Reservoir for a fun-filled day at the lake. Bring your own watercraft, food, lake toys, etc. We'll hang out, share watercraft among the group, and picnic together.

Helpful information:

  • The water in Dillon Reservoir is cold (~50° F) so be sure to wear a life jacket when on the water.

  • Swimming isn't allowed in the reservoir.

  • There are vault toilets, but no potable water is available at the Day Use area.

  • If you forget anything, there is a Walmart and a Safeway 1 mile down the road.

  • Be sure to bring sunscreen, water, snacks, sunglasses, hat, camp chairs/beach blanket, etc.

Location: (exact location might change but we’ll email everyone who RSVP’d if they do!) Meet at the Giberson Bay Forest Service day use area (Google Maps). Parking is $8 within the area, but there may be free parking nearby along the street if you want to move your car after dropping off your gear/watercraft. If you bring a boat that needs a boat ramp, you can launch at the nearby Frisco Bay Marina or Dillon Marina.

Directions: From I-70 take Exit 203, Frisco/Breckenridge. At the first stoplight turn left onto Dillon Dam Rd. The day use area will be on your right.

Time: All day! But most folks will be there from about 10am-3pm.

Day-of Contact: If you have trouble finding our group, text or call Dallas at 775-220-8480.
